Sacred Fire is the creative partnership of MJ Vermette and Dean Richards—Music Medicine artists offering immersive experiences worldwide that blend intuitive voice, rhythm, and conscious sound.
Through retreats, concerts, workshops, ceremonies, and community gatherings, they create spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves and one another, and rediscover the healing power of music.
Since 2011, Sacred Fire has shared experiences across North America and Europe—from internationally recognized retreats to intimate community circles. Whether on stage, facilitating workshops, or accompanying life’s sacred moments, their intention remains the same: to invite presence, connection, joy, and deep peace.
Marie Josée Vermette (MJ)
MJ is a musician, producer, sound healing artist, and facilitator with over two decades of experience working with voice, rhythm, and embodied practices.
Drawing from intuitive singing, drumming, Bodymind therapies, Taoist acupressure, and energy healing, she creates experiences that support people in reconnecting with their authentic voice and inner wisdom.
Since 2004, she has guided workshops blending therapeutic understanding with creative expression, inviting greater self-compassion, vitality, and inner steadiness.
Dean Richards
Dean is a multi-instrumentalist, recording artist, producer, and visual storyteller whose work bridges music, creativity, and human connection.
For nearly three decades, he has performed professionally across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Raised in the forests of British Columbia, he draws inspiration from the natural world, reflected in the spacious and grounded quality of his music. He brings a calm presence to all he does, supporting reconnection and leaving people feeling present, inspired, and renewed.
