It was a sizzling hot festival. The sun was blazing during the day, and our skin remembered the heat at night. It was filled with wise teachings, exhilarating music, mindful workshops, long, heartfelt hugs, delicious food, mesmerizing dancing; all interwoven by refreshing, cathartic dips in the river.

For the first time this year, SacredFire offered a Mystical Worldbeat concert on the small but oh-so-lovely Dojo stage at Blessed Coast Music, Yoga & Arts Festival in Squamish (July 27-30, 2018). 

Blessed Coast is a family, eco-friendly event held at the feet of majestic snow-capped mountains, surrounded by lush forest and refreshing water, on unceded Coast Salish Territory, in Squamish, BC – about 50 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Blessed Coast offers a curated line-up of ground-breaking local and international Artists, DJs and Producers, as well as BC’s favorite Yoga Teachers, Speakers and Wisdom Keepers.

We were honored to be working with lineage-holding Coast Salish elders that brought their ancient ways of communal ceremony into our modern context of celebration. We listened carefully to their stories; their messages of hope and their cries for awakening −their plea for us to shift our behavior in order to preserve the land & water for the generations to come.

We were thrilled to be featured alongside prominent artists such as Deya Dova, Attya, Sacred, Alpha Yaya Diallo, Buckman Coe, Rara Avis and so many more...

We will forever hold in our hearts the deep connections and the love. Thank you to all who came, and to the organizers and volunteers who contributed to such a successful gathering.
